FlipSid3 have booked the last spot at the PGL Major Krakow after defeating Liquid 25-23 on Mirage.
Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy's men started out the match with the right foot as they picked up an early 4-0 lead as Terrorists. Despite facing off against pistols, FlipSid3 could not stop Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken from finding four kills, helping his team assure their first round of the game.
It was from that moment onward that the North Americans began overcoming their initial difficulties and eventually reached an 8-5 lead. However, FlipSid3's men still managed to reduce the gap to 7-8.
In the second half, it were once again the CIS men who won the pistol round, setting FlipSid3 to grab the lead for the second time. As Liquid could not pick up neither of the following gun rounds, Yegor "markeloff" Markelov and co. got off to a comfortable 13-8 lead.
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's team then managed to break their adversaries' seven-round streak and kept winning well-fought rounds to reach a 14-14 stalemate. Nevertheless, both teams traded rounds to take the game to overtime.
When it came to extra-time, Liquid got the first lead before switching sides. However, the match ended up being a triple-overtime and saw FlipSid3 prevail as they closed it out, 25-23, with Denis "electroNic" Sharipov boasting 48 kills to secure the last available spot at the Major in Krakow.
